President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has held a closed-door meeting with the recently appointed Service Chiefs at the State House in Abuja, as part of his administration’s ongoing drive to reinforce Nigeria’s security framework.
The meeting follows the announcement of the new military appointments, which the Presidency described as a deliberate step toward enhancing professionalism, operational efficiency, and renewed morale across the Armed Forces.
Those present at the session included the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede; Chief of Army Staff, Major General Waheedi Shaibu; Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Kennedy Aneke; and Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Idi Abbas.
While specific details of the President’s directives to the new military leadership have not yet been disclosed, the engagement underscores the government’s focus on tackling emerging security challenges and ensuring stability nationwide.
